Korean progress at first round of ladies Mozart Open

The Mozart Open 2026 kicked off today with the ladies event. International players from all around the world are competing for a total prize money of 6.000 USD and PSA world ranking points. The Mozart Open will also feature a men’s edition from 5th – 8th March with an equal prize money and points on offer!

The first two rounds of the Mozart Open ladies take place at Tenniscourts Süd in Salzburg. From the quarterfinals on all matches are played on the all-glasscourt at Messezentrum Salzburg.

The top eight seeded female players have a bye in the first round and will start in the second round on Thursday.

All matches of the first round went according to the seeding apart from the last match of the evening when Bo Ram Ryoo from South Korea upset 9/16 seed Lilou Brevard-Belliot in five games. She follows her compatriot Chaewon Song who beat Lovisa Ronge in straight games.
